This is my first post on my website whereby I will keep you informed about what’s going on in the City, particularly as it pertains to what I am doing.
I am so pleased that a proclamation I proposed was approved which designates July as Back to School Supply Month in Mesquite. We, as a community, can donate supplies to help our students get what they need when they head back to school.
We welcome your donation of 3-ring binders, backpacks, calculators, colored pencils, color markers (washable), crayons, construction paper, composition paper, graph paper, composition notebooks, compasses, erasers, glue sticks, folders with prongs, dry erase boards, dry erase markers and dry erasers. Our kids can also use extra Clorox wipes, sanitizers and hand soap to help keep them safe.
There are donation boxes at Mesquite City Hall, the Recreation Center and the Library. If you don’t want to shop, you can drop a donation off at City Hall and we will do the shopping for you.
Thank you for any contribution you can make to our local students.
