• Served on Board of Directors of Rockwood Water People’s Utilities District for eight years as an elected official
• Was elected on local and national committees of American Water Works Association
• Was elected Mentor of the Year in 2020 for Emerge Nevada
• Is on the Advisory Committee for Kids for Sports Foundation
• Volunteers at Mesa View Regional Hospital
• Served on the Board of Directors of Mesquite Chamber of Commerce
• Served on the Board of Directors of Desert Dames
• Served as Co-Chair of the Mesquite League of Women Voters
• Holds Nevada State Certification in Black Jack and Roulette
• Is actively involved in the American Heart Association and the Lung Association
• Attended both the water rights and advanced water rights classes given by the Nevada Water Resource Association.

Sandra and her husband, Doug, moved to Mesquite in 2008. They have six children, ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Sandra was a Phlebotomy Supervisor for 31 years until she retired in 2008, and she likes to swim, read, watch sports, spend time with her grandchildren and volunteer in the community because she likes to meet people and have some fun.
